Lorraine Parker Long
Co-author
Lorraine Long has been a public school teacher for many years,
most of them in an inner-city school where she was awarded Teacher
of the Year. Lorraine is an accomplished songwriter and author of
predictable books and currently works to develop and write educational
materials for early childhood educators.
Lorraine presents to audiences across the U.S.
and internationally on facilitating literacy concepts through
creative
and innovative strategies. Her latest project, The Sing to Read
Adventure, is an early literacy program currently being used
in all 50 states, Canada and China. Lorraine also volunteers
as a Family Literacy advocate putting books in the hands of children
through The Sing to Read Literacy Project.

Mary Lou Roberts
Co-author
Mary Lou received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Northwest
Missouri State University. She then attended Tennessee State University where
she earned a masters degree in Elementary Curriculum.
Mary Lou has been a classroom teacher for 35 years. Her experience
includes teaching Head Start, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third
grade, reading support and math support. She was awarded Teacher of the Year
in 1993. Mary Lou is also an author of predictable books.
Mary Lou is presently retired and is a Family Literacy volunteer with The
Sing to Read Literacy Project, Inc.
Kirsten Taylor

Kirsten is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with
a bachelors degree in Journalism.
She began her career as a reporter for the Towanda
Daily Review in Towanda, PA. After a move to Georgia, she continued
her career as an advertising manager and copywriter for Communications
Channels in Atlanta, GA.
Kirsten then spent 8 years in the Marketing Department
of Sprint, Inc. in Atlanta, GA. Her broad base of marketing experience
includes 5 years as editor of customer and employee publications.
